WELCOME TO

NEWPORT
COMMUNITY
SCHOOL
PRIMARY
ACADEMY

We are proud to be part of the Tarka Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust which formed in September 2018.

We welcome children to join our school from the age of 3 years at our onsite nursery which has its own exciting outdoor play area.  As children progress through the school, they are taught in modern classrooms and have access to our onsite outdoor learning environment, playgrounds, sports field, extensive library and music room.

During their time at Newport Community School Primary Academy, we aim to

  • ensure all children enjoy achieving their potential

  • support the development of the whole child

  • raise aspiration

  • develop children's understanding of the world and their contribution to it

  • prepare children for their next stage of learning

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that children develop the core skills and foundational knowledge they need in oracy, reading, writing and mathematics as well as exploring foundation subjects through inspiring and engaging units of learning underpinned by our ethos and learning values which lead to purposeful and meaningful outcomes. This curriculum is matched to individual children's needs and is aspirational for all.

Our ethos value of respect is at the core of everyday school life in order to create a safe and happy environment filled with kindness where our all school community can thrive.

Our learning values are woven through our learning.  We aim to create confident, collaborative and innovative learners who leave at the end of Key Stage 2 ready for the next stage of their learning journey and beyond.

I look forward to welcoming you and your family into our school community.
