Junior Librarian

In school we have a computer system called Junior Librarian which is used by all children to borrow books from the library.

Pupils in year 5 and year 6 are now able to access Junior Librarian from home. When using this at home, pupils will be able to access their school library account.  As well as checking the books that they currently have on loan, pupils will also be able to reserve books, write reviews, read about recommended books and borrow eBooks.

Junior Librarian is also useful to see what other resources are available in the school library and contains online links to specific subjects which might be of interest to the children or helpful with home learning.

To access the system use click here: this will take you straight to the Junior Librarian.net website.

To logon, pupils will need to use their own library barcode number which they have received during their training of the system; this has been stuck to their reading records for safe keeping. Junior Librarian is also available to download onto your phone and tablet, via an iMLS App.

Junior Librarian.net is only accessible by the user via their individual barcode. This programme can be used by parents alongside their children and can be used to track your child’s reading history, current loans and favourite authors.

Pupils will still need to borrow, return and renew books through the school library system.

If you have trouble using the site, there is a help page available on the opening screen where there are video tutorials which will take you through using the system.  In addition to this, our school’s librarian, Mrs Carter, will be happy to help with any queries.

We hope that this system will support your child’s reading.
