School Meals

School meals are cooked at the school and a choice of meals is available for each child. At the moment all of our children stay at school for a cooked meal or bring a packed lunch. All school meals meet the new Government health standards for school meals.

From September 2014, the Government have ensured that a cooked meal has been provided free of charge to all pupils in Reception, year 1 and year 2.

School meals cost £2.35 per day with effect from 5th September 2016. Pupils should send their dinner money at the beginning of each week. Cheques should be made payable to NCSPA. Dinner money envelopes are available from the school office. Application forms for free school meals are available from the office. Please consult the Benefits Agency for eligibility. Pupils are asked not to have fizzy drinks, chocolate bars or sweets in their packed lunch. A chocolate covered biscuit/wafer is permitted.

If you prefer to make placing an order for dinners a once a term job instead of a weekly chore then click on the link below which will take you to our ‘Make a Payment’ page for full details.

Fruit Time

Children can bring fresh fruit for break times. This needs to be a piece of fresh fruit that the child can eat easily and independently. The school does not permit dried or processed fruit. It is important to establish healthy eating habits at a young age.
