Weekly Newsletter 9th November 2018

We have implemented Schoolcomms, an electronic school communication system. This enables you to receive information from school quickly and reliably as we can send letters by email direct to your nominated inbox.

This system is not designed to replace our existing communication methods (we will still be here to answer your queries in person) but recognises the need to provide flexible options for parents and to reduce the impact on the environment through using less paper and printing.

Benefits – you will:-

  • Receive newsletters more reliably and promptly
  • See letters in your inbox like any other email
  • Still get paper letters if you don’t have email, or there are attachments that require a signed reply
  • Not need to rely on your child for delivery
  • Notify the school of your child’s absence electronically

To sign up, we would like you to:-

  • Provide us with one nominated email address for the household where the child resides. To do this please email schoolcomms@newportprimary.devon.sch.uk  from the email account you wish to nominate, stating your child/ren’s name and class. For parents who live in different households, it is possible for us to have you both registered on the system. You will both have to follow the above instructions.
  • Advise us of any changes to the mobile phone number we hold for you (you can do this in the email above).
  • Forward your email to us as soon as possible.

We use this system for our weekly and monthly newsletters and we hope you find this service helpful and convenient. If you do not want to sign up to this system, or would prefer to receive paper copies, please let us know. We would also like to assure you that your details will not be used for any other purpose than school business. You will not receive any spam or marketing material. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school office on 01271 376252.
