Year 5 Making a Truss Bridge

As part of their learning about bridges, year 5 were set a challenge to make a truss bridge. We learnt about how trusses help to strengthen bridges and that there are several different truss designs to choose from. Using art straws and tape, groups of pupils created a truss bridge which was 40cm long.
