Activity Team Leader - Permanent 

6 hours per day, Monday-Friday, 11.30am-6.00pm, 38 weeks per year, term time only 

Annual Salary: £13,179.25 

(Grade C/D - £18,933 - £22,183 per annum pro rata) 

Newport Community School Primary Academy is looking to employ an enthusiastic person who has the skills to efficiently support across the school. 

Part of your role would be to lead and deploy Meal Time Assistants to make sure that lunchtime provision for all pupils is safe, positive and promotes activity and wellbeing. You will be responsible for organising and planning children’s physical activities in the outside space. Alongside the Kitchen Manager and supported by Senior Leaders, you will ensure the overall smooth running of school lunches. 

You will also work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher. Learning support may also take place outside the main teaching area.  

The role will also include leading a small team to provide quality and stimulating after school play provision for children aged between 4 – 11 in our Leaps and Bounds After School Club. 

The successful person will need to: 

  • Hold a Level 3 child relevant qualification 

  • Lead and manage a small team of adults 

  • Be able to provide a stimulating and engaging play environment 

  • Communicate effectively with parents  

  • Participate in Safeguarding training

Head Teacher (ISR 21-27)

The starting point for the successful candidate will be negotiable and dependent on experience. A relocation allowance of up to £5k is available for a successful candidate moving into the area.
