CAIRB Lighthouses

This term we have been finding out about Grace Darling and Lighthouses. As part of our science and DT work we have designed and made our own lighthouses. We looked at how lighthouses have changed over time and how important the shape and colour is to warn ships sailing nearby of dangers. We used modroc to create a sturdy model and even tested different electrical circuits to ensure we had the brightest lights. Everyone really enjoyed this design task.
