As part of Reception’s World Book Day celebrations, Sian Valvis a children’s literacy translator visited to share her story Kolobok, a Russian Folktale she has translated and rewritten in English. The children were fascinated to hear the story read in both English and Russian as well as playing detectives to find their own names written in Russian.
